This two-day professional learning workshop, delivered by the Australian Centre for Career Education (ACCE), supports career practitioners, leaders, coordinators, and service managers to evaluate and strengthen the quality of their career development services through structured benchmarking and self-assessment. Using a range of purpose-built benchmarking tools and frameworks, participants will critically review key areas of practice, including strategic planning, program delivery, stakeholder engagement, client outcomes, resource management, data collection, and continuous improvement processes.
Through guided activities, collaborative discussions, and the sharing of professional experiences, participants will identify strengths, explore opportunities for growth, and compare their services against recognised quality standards. A major focus of the workshop is translating findings into action, with participants analysing emerging themes, prioritising improvement areas, and developing practical action plans tailored to their own context. By the end of the workshop, participants will have a clearer understanding of their service’s effectiveness, completed benchmarking components, and a roadmap for ongoing improvement, accountability, and excellence in career development practice.
